Nawa What?
Shibari...or erotic rope bondage. NawaShibari.com is an online publication that captures this erotic art form at it's most intriguing, artful and sexy. All content is produced by our own bondage gurus, photographers and courageous heroines on their trek through bondage, art and sex.

What kind of rope is that?
Bangladesh jute, custom made by Numinous. Romanian hemp is also a favorite.

Who are these Girls?
Everyone from well known starlets to undiscovered beauties, all NawaShibari girls have two things in common - beauty and a love for bondage

Why do they do it?
'Everyone has their own motivations for being tied up but I can tell you that 99 percent of these women are here because they love bondage. I do not encourage the girls to act or fake anything.... I may not know their motives sometimes, but do we really want to?!... these ladies' deepest, darkest secrets only add to their exotic mystery.'

Video and Photos

Why do the photos in the member galleries look weird or small in my browser?
Your browser's default settings may resize web images automatically, creating a pixelated, jaggy image.

In Internet Explorer: To disable this 'feature' in I.E., go to Tools, Internet Options, click the 'Advanced' tab, and under 'Multimedia', UNCHECK 'Enable Automatic Image Resizing'.

In FireFox: Go to Tools, Options, click the 'Advanced' tab, and under 'Browsing', UNCHECK 'Resize large images to fit in the browser window'.

What is winzip?
Winzip is a compression utility that wraps up many files (pictures) into one large file that can be compressed and downloaded over the Internet for local viewing. Download it for free here.

Which Video Player do I need?
WinMedia9 or RealOne BASIC - both are FREE.

How 'Big' are the videos?
Nawa is designed to fill your desktop with a blend of moving pictures, sound and still photography. Content is benchmarked at 1024x768px but the design works on any popular home computer and screen size due in part to it's simplicity in coding. Less code more bondage :)

Screen sizing can be selected in the "View" menu, or by placing mouse in window and selecting "1x", "2x" or "Full-screen" mode from top left corner. Either selection will give a choice of:
Original Size
Double Size
Full Screen - Theater View

Nawa's Full Screen movies are achieved through the video industry practice 'doubling' and 'progressive streaming'. State of the art video encoding software delivers a specially compressed file in a small format through your hi speed internet connection. When connected, expand your media player to full screen and the player takes advantage of the extra data encoded in the files to produce a clear full screen image. Your monitor's settings may effect playback. Remember that full screen video is meant to be viewed at a reasonable distance from the screen, so sit back and enjoy.

Will your videos work on my dial up?
To view full screen video with a dial up, we recommend downloading our FULL SIZE files to your hard drive and viewing them locally.

What speed should I connect for best streaming video?
If you connect via ISDN or a mid-range cable or ADSL, try FULL connection first, if the video does not run smoothly cut it back to MED or increase your buffer time in the player's settings.

If you have a high speed connection, all things being equal, you should be able to stream the clips at FULL screen.

The speed in which you view the video clips at depends on a variety of things, such as your connection speed, and availability of bandwidth from your ISP, the number of people viewing our video at one time and any network congestion between your computer and our server.

At certain times you may have problems viewing clips at the speeds recommended above. If this occurs try viewing the clips at a lower speed or at a different time or try downloading the clips to your hard drive.

How else can I optimize my video playback?
Increase the buffer size in your player's settings.

...in WinMedia9?
Streaming media often stops and sputters on low-bandwidth connections. Increase the amount of time your player spends buffering the stream and you'll be on your way to clean, crisp playback. Click Tools and choose Options. Go to the Performance tab and put a mark next to the Buffer radio button.
Increase your buffer time.
Click OK.

Real One FAQ

Why don't the files I download play right?
Make sure you are NOT downloading the pointer files that are used to stream the media off the server. Pointer files have the extension .asx or .ram. The actual video files that you want to download to your hard drive and play have the extension .wmv or .rm.

If you cannot see the file extension in windows explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options, click on the 'view' tab, and under 'advanced settings' make sure that 'Hide extensions for known file types' is UNCHECKED.

Check also that you have the latest version of RealOne or Windows Media Player installed, and that your operating system is reasonably current. How can I put a series of clips together in one movie on my hard drive?

...in WinMedia
Simplest way is to drag the files onto the WinMedia play list.
Or,
Create a simple .asx file in a text editor like notepad:

<ASX VERSION="3.0">

Clip 1
<REF HREF="boundbabe1_full.wmv" />

Clip 2
<REF HREF="boundbabe2_full.wmv" />

Clip 3
<REF HREF="boundbabe3_full.wmv" />

</ASX>

Substitute your file names, save this file to the same folder, and double click.

Same as above, but instead of an .asx file, you are creating a .ram file that simply lists your files:

boundbabe1_full.wmv
boundbabe2_full.wmv
boundbabe3_full.wmv

My Player keeps prompting me for User name and Password between viewing files?
Do not close the player between files, use the stop or pause button. Closing your player between files may generate a password prompt. Lookup your password in your account.

I get to the 401 error page and it never asks me to enter my username or password?
This is a known issue with Microsoft Explorer. Please do as follows:
- Go to Tools / Internet Options.
- Click on security and then on Custom Level.
- Tick the option: 'User Authentication, Logon, Automatic Logon Only in Intranet Zone'
